Ontario has designated the third Sunday of November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week to promote safe schools and a positive learning environment.  This year it will be recognized from November 20 to 26, 2022. The York Catholic District School Board believes that safe, caring and inclusive Catholic schools and school communities create and maintain healthy learning/working environments.  Guided by Gospel Values and Catholic Virtues, we

November 11th is Remembrance Day in Canada, also known as Armistice Day and “poppy day” around the world. It’s our annual reminder of significant sacrifices made in the past that have led to current freedoms. It’s observed on this date to commemorate the end of World War I, which officially took place on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918. 

Please note that the CSC Meeting that was scheduled for November 8 will now take place on Tuesday, November 15 at 7:00 pm in the library.

A big congratulations and thank you to our families for supporting our Halloween Dance-a-Thon Fundraiser.  Thanks to your efforts, we raised just over $13, 800.  We look forward to supplementing our STREAM Lab and Library resources as well as outdoor play equipment. The situation with provincial bargaining remains fluid, but we want our families to have enough time to plan for alternative childcare arrangements for tomorrow.
